Update on Judiciary Operations During Partial Shutdown
During the partial government shutdown, this court, as part of the Judiciary, has continued operating using court fee balances and other “no-year” funds. Paid operations using this funding can be sustained by the Judiciary through January 18, 2019 (updated: now January 31, 2019). On or before that date, further guidance will be provided if the shutdown persists. All proceedings and deadlines remain in effect as scheduled, unless otherwise advised. The Case Management/Electronic Case Files (CM/ECF) system will remain in operation for the electronic filing of documents with the court. Please continue to check the court's website at http://www.laed.uscourts.gov for further updates.
