The Honorable Joseph "Jay" C. Wilkinson, Jr. selected to be new Chief Magistrate Judge

Pursuant to a vote of the court en banc;

United States Magistrate Judge Joseph C. Wilkinson, Jr. is hereby designated Chief Magistrate Judge for the Eastern District of Louisiana for a term of four (4) years. Magistrate Judge Wilkinson is directed to meet with his colleagues on a regular basis and to act as a liaison between the magistrate judges and the court. This appointment is effective immediately.
