Honorable Sarah S. Vance

On January 2, 2024, the Honorable Sarah S. Vance informed President Joseph Biden that she intends to retire from regular, active service as a U.S. District Judge effective January 16, 2024. For nearly three decades, Judge Vance has served as a district judge for the Eastern District of Louisiana. She intends to render substantial judicial service as a senior judge.
